BOVA UN
BOVA UN (The Baltic Forestry, Veterinary and Agricultural University Network) is a connecting network of universities offering the higher education in the field of agriculture, forestry, veterinary and other related sciences.
BOVA was established in 1996 with the main idea to build up and strengthen academic collaboration as well as mobility and exchange of experience among BOVA member universities, namely, the Estonian University of Life Sciences, the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies, Aleksandras Stulginskis University (former Lithuanian University of Agriculture) and the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences - Veterinary Academy.
The higher education institutions mainly cooperate in the development of strategic trends, the development of the master and doctoral studies as well as in the implementation of the inter-disciplinary intensive courses for the master and doctoral students and the professional development courses for the academic staff.
The BOVA university network is important not only for the enrichment of knowledge of the students and the academic staff, but also for providing the qualification of the academic staff internationally as the University is becoming more and more internationally recognized, offering qualitative studies for international students.
The BOVA development is closely connected with the Nordic Forestry, Veterinary and Agricultural University Network NOVA. (https://www.nmbu.no/en/students/nova).
