LBTU Continues to Achieve High Rankings in the QS World University Agriculture & Forestry Rankings
In March, the results of the QS World University Rankings: Agriculture & Forestry 2025 were published. The Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies (LBTU) has secured a position in the 401-475 range out of 1,744 universities worldwide in this ranking.
The QS ranking provides a detailed evaluation of universities based on their performance in over 50 specific academic disciplines, as well as in five broad faculty areas: Arts & Humanities, Engineering & Technology, Life Sciences & Medicine, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences & Management.
Several criteria are assessed in this ranking, including academic reputation, employer reputation, citations, H-index, and international research network.
Summarizing the results across all performance areas, LBTU is ranked within the 401-475 group. The highest scores for LBTU were achieved in the citations per paper criterion (60.2 points), H-index (47.0 points), and international research network (47.0 points), followed by employer reputation (40.6 points) and academic reputation (39.1 points). In total, in the Agriculture & Forestry subject ranking, LBTU received 44.4 points.
The top three universities in the QS World University Rankings: Agriculture & Forestry are Wageningen University & Research (Netherlands), the University of California, Davis (USA), and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences.
