Building Bridges Across Borders: Strengthening Our Partnership with Uzbekistan
On April 1, 2023, Viktoria Krištopāne, the chief specialist of joint educational programs of the International Cooperation Center of the Latvian University of Life Sciences and Technologies (LBTU), and Ilona Puķjāne together with the head of the International Relations Department of the Tashkent chemical - technological Institute - Z Babakhanova, Head of the Department of Joint Education Programs - A. Shernayev, held a meeting with department heads, professors and doctoral students.
The following days were spent giving lectures about LBTU in Sehriyo School, Tashkent State University of Economics, and the University of Digital Economics and Agritechnologies.
"During our visit, we presented LBTU and the dual diploma program which received a very positive response from all the institutions." Says Viktoria. "We are also pleased to share that we have initiated the collaboration process with the Tashkent State University of Economics and are currently working on the details of the partnership."
Ilona Puķjāne head of Erasmus + KA171 programs says: "We are very optimistic about the future possibilities and the potential of these collaborations to benefit our students and faculty members. During the trip, we also discussed some upcoming joint projects, which we are excited to work on!"
