On the anniversary of the war, LBTU calls to support the Ukrainian people
February 24 marks one year since Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. On this day, the Latvian University of Biosciences and Technologies (LBTU, formerly LLU) invites everyone to show solidarity with the Ukrainian people, to be together in thoughts and to support the Ukrainian fight against the aggressor state with a donation.
Supporting the call of the highest state officials, LBTU invites on February 24 at 9.00 a.m. to stop the daily activities and observe a moment of silence to remember and honor the war victims.
On the other hand, at At 12.00, we invite you to participate in the Latvian media campaign and turn on any Latvian radio station, TV or digital media to listen to the national anthem of Ukraine, and think to be with the heroic Ukrainian people, wishing them a quick victory for their freedom, independence and territorial indivisibility. LBTU continues to collect donations for its sister university in Ukraine - the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine. Donations are needed so that it can help its employees and students who are in a difficult humanitarian situation due to the war.
