Graduates of the Faculty of Economics and Social Development receive diplomas
On January 27, 53 young specialists of the Faculty of Economics and Social Development (ESAF) of the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies celebrated the winter graduation.
Dean's Andra Zvirbule welcomed students: “Nine new specialists of the academic bachelor's study program "Economics" received diplomas at the undergraduate level, obtaining a bachelor's degree in economics. Among them is a foreign graduate Prabhjot Singh. During their studies, graduates have acquired knowledge and skills for research and practical work in order to be able to solve problems, make decisions and manage economic processes in Latvia's cities and countryside.”
Higher education diplomas were also issued to 12 graduates of the professional bachelor's study program "Entrepreneurship and Business management", who were awarded a professional bachelor's degree in business and company management, as well as the qualification of a manager. During the studies, students are provided with high-quality professional education in the management of companies and organizations, the ability to determine and formulate the basic principles of the company or organization.
The graduates of the first level professional study program "Commercial Sciences" also joined the group of graduates, obtaining the qualification of a business specialist. Graduates have acquired basic knowledge and professional experience in business to be able to work in the field of economic activity, planning, administering, providing services and mutual rights and obligations.
Diplomas were also received by 11 graduates of the professional master's study program "Project Management", who have been awarded a professional master's degree in project management or a professional master's degree in project management and a project manager's qualification. Graduates of the higher level study program have gained understanding and knowledge of the theoretical and practical issues of project development, management and evaluation, the use of information technology in project management, as well as project financial management, as well as knowledge of human resource management, quality management and programs. requirements of legislation in the field of project management.
Diplomas were awarded to 13 graduates of the professional master's study program "Business Management", including two foreign graduates - Akhaykumar and Rohit Oraon. Graduates of the study program have been awarded a professional master's degree in business and management (MBA) and the qualification of an organization manager. During their studies, they acquired the skills and knowledge to become high-level interdisciplinary (agriculture, regional development, management systems, production and processing) business and management specialists with the highest level of managerial qualification.
In January 2022, new specialists from the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Environmental and Civil Engineering and the Faculty of Information Technology joined the LLU graduates, while the Faculty of Forestry will close the winter graduation series on February 18. Graduations will continue in June, when graduates of all study programs implemented by the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies will receive diplomas.
The graduation took place in an epidemiologically safe environment, in compliance with national requirements.
