LLU signs a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Korea
On the 3rd of October LLU was visited by Chonbuk National University representatives (Korea) to get to know the university and sign the Memorandum of Understanding to promote further educational and academic exchanges as well as the cooperation between the two universities.
Chanbuk National University specializes in the implementation of similar study fields and has expressed readiness for closer cooperation with LLU to provide the exchange of students, teachers, researchers and staff, carry out joint research projects and academic meetings.
Professors Myeong-Sook and Yoon Kwang-Min Cho and International Cooperation Centre Coordinator Yong-Woo Cho came to visit LLU. During the meeting visitors showed particular interest in the Faculty of agriculture and the implemented studies in it. Korean government has announced a scholarship for foreign exchange students and full-time master degree students and doctoral students in the agricultural sector.
Memorandum of Understanding between the two universities was already signed at the end of September by the president of Chonbuk National University but on the 3rd of October it was signed by the LLU Rector Irina Pilvere.
