The graduation period at LLU has begun
June traditionally at the university is the month of graduations, when students, that have passed exams and defended their thesis, meet each other in the main hall of Jelgava palace and acquire their education documents.
This year the series of graduation ceremonies will start with graduates from the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences, that diplomas will receive on June 17, whereas conclude – graduates from Faculty of Agriculture on June 22, just before the annual traditional festival - Jāņi.
Although the faculties are situated in different buildings in Jelgava, still during the graduation ceremony graduates of all 8 Faculties meet each other in Jelgava palace, in the place where a few years ago they met each other for the first time and begun their studies.
During the graduation ceremony the graduates are wearing special robes, that are different for each faculty, at the same time, also the leadership of Faculties and University have their own dress, thereby holding academic values and traditions high.
